It's Been a While!

Well, since that last post, things have taken off in the Cammett household! Owen is not only walking full time now, but he's running! We've been so busy chasing him around, we haven't had time to blog! Seriously, he is NON STOP! At least he naps better now! Burning all that energy makes him tired. The problem is, it makes us tired too.

Here are a few pics to update you on Owen's growth. He's turning into a little boy! No more baby here!

First Steps!

Watch out world! Owen is walking! Well, not quite, but he's on his way! Last Friday, January 21st, Owen took his first steps! It was wonderful timing, as his Mimi was in town for a visit, and he even took those first steps toward her! Mimi was the only one who saw those first two steps before he lunged toward her, but later that day, he did it again for me to see. Ben was at work, but we sent him a text to say "Owen is walking!" We practiced all afternoon, and when Ben got home Owen showed him his new moves!

It's been over a week since those first steps and he's getting better and better each time he tries. A few more weeks and we'll have ourselves a full time walker!

Meeting Grandpa!

While in Vermont, Owen was able to finally meet his Grandpa! It has been a long (almost) 12 months, but Grandma and Grandpa made the 3 hour trip to see Owen just a few days before Christmas. Owen had not seen Grandma since he was 7 weeks old, and had never before met Grandpa. It was a very exciting day! We spent most of the time helping Owen open gifts from Grandma and Grandpa, as he had lots! There are a lot of gifts to open when your birthday is right around the holidays!

We were so happy that Owen could see them, and have made sure to show him pictures of their visit since returning to NC. Hopefully we won't go so long between visits next time! Enjoy our pictures!...

Vermont Christmas

We're back from our Christmas in Vermont! We had such a great time with family and friends, and enjoyed every minute of the cold and snow. In the short time we were there, we fit in quite a bit! We played in the snow, went to dinner on Church Street, celebrated Owen's upcoming birthday, saw tons of family and friends, AND had Christmas! It was a busy week! An Early NC Christmas

We celebrated our Christmas a little early this year. 2 weeks early to be exact. We'll be heading to VT for the real thing, so we figured we'd get it done early so we could get the house back in order before we head out next week. We had a great time watching Owen open his gifts and get excited about all of his new books and toys. Here are some pics from the morning...

Cookies For Santa

This past Friday night, we decorated some sugar cookies we had baked earlier in the week. We had a great time introducing Owen to this Christmas tradition. We put him in charge of the sprinkles, while Ben and I took turns icing the cookies. He had so much fun shaking them.

We were having our Christmas the next morning (We'll be in Vermont for the real thing!), so we got them all ready and out for Santa. Here are a few pics we took!...
